The system installed at the Staatstheater improves the acoustical behavior of the hall by adding early energy and lengthening its reverberation time.
The acoustics under the balconies needed special attention. The balconies are deep and have low ceilings, “shielding” large area’s from the acoustics or the main hall. By rendering sound reflections and reverberation over invisibly integrated flat panel loudspeakers (38x) the acoustics improved dramatically.
The system uses a total of 24 microphones and 76 loudspeakers.
